Amy S on Sharepoint 2010 - how to add pages to a subsite, not the main site

Hello,
I have added pages to a Sharepoint 2010 subsite, but they don't show up under the subsite. They will only show up under the main site. How can I move them to the subsite? When I view the subsite, none of the pages that have created show up in the leftnav. Is there a way to create new pages and have them appear in the leftnav for the subsite but not for the main site?
